POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Registration for any course or program through Palmer
Continuing Education implies
that you have read and understand the following policies.
Accreditation
Successful completion of coursework in Certificate and Diplomate
programs leads to eligibility to sit for the examination given by
the accrediting body for that specialty. Sitting for the exam may
require membership in an association or related council. Testing
may have an additional charge and/or application.
Approvals/CE Credit
CE is applied for in many states. Not all states approve all
courses. For information regarding approvals, please contact Palmer
Continuing Education or your state board prior to registering. Note
that even if a state board does not accept all hours or online work
for CE in a postgraduate program, this should not affect your
ability to sit for the examination leading to Certificate or Diplomate status.
CE hours will be granted for the number of hours a doctor is in
attendance at the seminar. Late arrivals and early departures will
affect the amount of CE earned. This must be especially noted in
Certificate and Diplomate programs that require a certain number of
hours.
A variety of monitoring techniques may be used to confirm
attendance which may include but is not limited to: name badges,
check-ins, signatures, head counts, face recognition and video
tape.
Attire
Please dress in layers to ensure comfort. Temperature regulation is
sometimes difficult in large meeting rooms.
Audio and Video Taping
Audio and video taping are not permitted by attendees at any time.
Auditing Seminars
Auditing Palmer
Continuing Education seminars is not permitted. Registration
is not contingent on whether or not an attendee desires CE credit.
All attendees must officially register for seminars.
Cancellations
Every attempt is made to offer programs as advertised. Palmer
Continuing Education reserves the right to adjust the speaker, program,
location, dates, times, etc. to accommodate unforeseen weather,
faculty or student needs. We will make every effort to contact
registrants with any changes prior to the program. Palmer
Continuing Education
is not responsible for any expenses incurred by registrants if a
program is cancelled or altered. Registrants may contact Palmer
Continuing Education at any time for updated seminar status.
Please ensure that we have all pertinent contact information so
that we may reach you in such a circumstance. Registration fees from programs
cancelled by Palmer
Continuing Education will be refunded.
Disabilities
Palmer Continuing Education is in full compliance with the Americans with
Disabilities Act and state and local requirements regarding
students with special needs. We require at least ten working days
to accommodate your needs.
Discounts
Only one discount may apply per seminar/program. Some package pricing
for CE
is considered a discount. Discounts must be applied at the
time of registration and will not be given retroactively.
Materials
Some coursework may require the purchase of additional study
materials for course completion.
Prerequisites
All attendees must meet course prerequisites as needed.
Pricing
Dependent upon program and date of registration.
Program completion
All package-priced coursework must be completed during the program
period purchased. This applies to License Renewal Seminar Series,
seminars via the ICN, Certificate and Diplomate programs and online coursework.
Refunds
Palmer Continuing Education has a “No Refund” policy. Participant requests to
cancel a registration must be submitted in writing and exceptions will only be
considered prior to the seminar. Approved refunds for
discounted/package-priced programs will incur full-price deductions
for sessions that have already occurred. Other fees assessed by
Palmer Continuing Education may also apply.
Registration
Early registration is strongly encouraged as seminars may be
cancelled due to a lack of enrollment. Late registrations or
registrations at the door may result in lack of seating, shortage
of course materials, unforeseen location changes, or cancellations
that can create frustration for the unregistered participant. Late
registrations will incur an additional fee.
