"Dispossessed of its philosophy, chiropractic is dispossessed if its uniqueness and perhaps its future."  -- E.A. Morinis, PhD

DIPLOMATE IN PHILOSOPHICAL CHIROPRACTIC STANDARDS (DPhCS)

Since the profession's infancy, chiropractors have striven to have their philosophy in healthcare recognized.  Beginning in 1911 and through 1965, Palmer conferred the PhC degree upon those meeting very advanced study and academic standards in chiropractic philosophy.  In 2000, the Palmer Institute for Professional Advancement (now Palmer Continuing Education) and Palmer College of Chiropractic introduced the Chiropractic Philosophy Colloquium.  Designed as a one-year course of study, it was intended to provide advanced study in the field of chiropractic philosophy.  This program as met with tremendous success, matriculating chiropractors worldwide.

In 2002, in cooperation with the ICA Council on Chiropractic Philosophy, the decision was made to develop a diplomate program as a natural extension of the current Philosophy Colloquium.  The result was the Diplomate in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) program.

BENEFITS OF THE DPhCS

With the development of this program, we have attempted to address the appeal for graduate level training with the unique tenets of chiropractic philosophy, as set forth by the founders of our noble profession.  This program signifies a return to an advanced philosophical study that is academically accepted today as a diplomate program.

More than simply adding another suffix to your professional degree, the successful completion of this diplomate signifies your dedication and commitment to the philosophical roots that sustain the profession.  Come, immerse yourself in this course of study at the Fountainhead - where it all evolved.  Become a truly vital part of chiropractic's ongoing and glorious history.  We invite you to place yourself among those of like commitment, the best the profession has to offer.

Your sense of accomplishment will last a lifetime.
